Things You'll Need
Instructions
Measure the door and add 4 inches of height to this measurement. Measure the sheet. Cut out the sheet to match the size of the door. Tape the top and bottom of the sheet tightly to the top and bottom of the door, and make sure the door can still close well. Take the sheet off the door.
Use a pencil to outline the igloo on the sheet. Draw an arc across the sheet. Draw the arc about two-thirds of the way to the top of the sheet. Draw a flat line 6 inches from the bottom of the sheet.
Paint the top of the sheet that is not inside the igloo markings. Paint the sheet sky blue. Add clouds if you wish. Allow the sheet to dry.
Decide how big you want the igloo blocks to be. More blocks mean that you will need to make more cuts and the project will take longer. Measure the blocks on the white paper and cut enough blocks for the top arc and the bottom line of the igloo. Use masking tape or white glue to attach the blocks to the sheet.
Measure to the middle of the sheet, then measure to half a foot on either side of the middle. Mark each half-foot distance with a pencil. Use the pencil to draw an archway from one mark to the other. This is the igloo door.
Cut enough white blocks to extend from the bottom of the igloo door, over the top of the arch and to the bottom of the door on the other side. Place these blocks sideways.
Measure the rest of the igloo's front into block-size sections. Mark them on the sheet with the pencil. Cut the appropriate number of blocks from white paper and attach them to the sheet.
Cut out arctic animal pictures from magazines or draw them on white paper with felt-tipped markers. Hide the animals in the background of the igloo or paste them along the bottom and sides of the igloo.
Stretch the sheet tight onto the top and bottom of the door. Use duct tape to secure the sheet to the top and bottom of the door.
