Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place the fabric and lamb's wool right-side together on a table or solid surface.
Open the sewing machine needle by turning the right-side handle toward you. Raise the pressure foot by reaching around the back and lifting the lever.
Place a spool of thread at the top of the machine. Pass the thread through the machine's casing, and then down through the left side tension assembly. Pick up the thread and place it back up the machine to the next threading point at the top left. Thread the needle entering from the front or back, depending on your machine type.
Pull the thread through the needle and to the left. Hold the thread in one hand and move the machine's handle toward you and draw the needle up at the highest position. Release the bobbin thread by pulling to the left. Let the top thread go and pull the bobbin thread up.
Take both threads to the back of the machine by putting them under the pressure foot. Place the fabric vertically into the machine, underneath the raised pressure foot, and sew along one long side from top to bottom.
Fold the fabric down halfway so that the ends meet. Fold the entire piece in half so that it looks inside out. Sew both shorter sides of the fabric to the lamb's wool. The fabric looks like a tube with a slit opening.
Slip your hand into the fabric and pull the fleece part inside out. The tube is now half the size with the outside covered in fleece.
Place the fabric into the sewing machine and sew directly across the bottom to form a bag. Fold one end against itself and sew a corner. Repeat on the other side. This allows the bed to have rounded corners inside.
Cut the threads. Turn the bed inside out.
