How to Make a Marshmallow Shooter Out of Toilet Paper Rolls

A marshmallow shooter, or marshmallow launcher, made from empty toilet paper rolls can provide hours of entertainment for both adults and kids. The device's construction is simple, and building the shooter is a learning opportunity for children. The result is a safe toy that cost almost nothing.

Things You'll Need

4 or more empty toilet paper rolls
Duct tape

  Inspect the empty toilet paper rolls to ensure none has a bend or kink. The project requires at least four empty toilet paper rolls that don't have a bend or kink, which can negatively affect the marshmallow launcher's effectiveness. Using four rolls creates a launcher that is about 16 inches long. A shorter launcher is more difficult to aim accurately.

  Position the toilet paper rolls end to end to form a straight line.

  Place the end of one toilet paper roll against the end of a second toilet paper roll, and attach them with duct tape. If the resulting tube is not straight, remove the duct tape and re-attach the rolls. Place the tape so that no air escapes from where the rolls meet. Escaping air reduces a marshmallow launcher's effectiveness.

  Attach remaining toilet paper rolls to the first two toilet paper rolls to complete the marshmallow launcher. Use the same method you used to tape together the first two toilet paper rolls.
