Instructions
Find a fabric doll whose waist is as close as possible to the diameter of a plastic cup's mouth.
Cut the doll in half at the waist with a pair of scissors. Pull the stuffing out of the body, but leave it in the head and arms.
Cut a half-inch wooden dowel three inches longer than the height of the cup.
Cut a one-inch cardboard circle with a pair of scissors, then attach it to the top of the dowel with hot glue.
Drill a five-eighths-inch hole in the bottom of the plastic cup.
Drop the dowel through the hole inside of the cup so that it hangs out of the bottom. The cardboard will prevent it from falling all the way through.
Turn the doll inside out so that the stuffing on the underside of the head is exposed.
Apply a generous amount of hot glue on the top of the cardboard circle, then press the underside of the doll's head into it. Allow the glue to dry.
Lift the dowel up and down. The doll will rise and fall with it.
Apply an inch-long bead of hot glue along the interior of the cup's rim, then press the cut bottom edge of the doll into the glue until it cools.
Continue gluing the doll onto the cup, an inch at a time, until it's attached all the way around.
