Instructions
Get a plastic container or tote to hold small beach toys. Many young children enjoy playing with plastic buckets, watering cans, shovels, rings and other beach-friendly toys. After a day of beach play with these toys, you will encounter endless piles of sand. It's much easier to place the toys into a plastic container, as the tote helps to contain the sand in one area and not all over your car seats.
Dry any water toys, such as floats, beach balls, beach or pool noodles or body boards before you leave the beach. The material usually dries quickly when placed in direct sunlight. It might also be helpful to deflate the toys, which frees up more space for larger items, such as coolers or beach chairs.
Spray the toys with water. Most beaches provide a small shower or water fountain for people to wash sand off their bodies or beach items. Take the toys to this area and spray them before you place them into your vehicle. You can either let the toys air-dry or dry them off with a towel. If you do not have access to water, shake off as much sand as possible and place them into the plastic container.
