How to Make a Pretend Ticket Booth

A ticket booth reminds of movies, plays and the exciting atmosphere of a carnival. A pretend game or make-believe situation that involves dispensing tickets benefits from the addition of a pretend ticket booth. The specific materials used to create a ticket booth leave room for creativity. For an extra-realistic ticket-booth experience, set a roll of tickets inside the booth.

Instructions

    • 1

Set a large cardboard box on the ground. Measure the width and height of the box. Use a box shorter than 4 feet tall or taller than 6 feet tall.

    • 2

Draw a box on the top half of the box, if the box is 6-feet tall or taller. Cut a hole -- about 2-feet tall and 2-feet wide -- out of the box.

    • 3

Write the word "Tickets" on a piece of construction paper.

    • 4

Decorate the paper with stickers, symbols or patterns. For example, color the background light blue.

    • 5

Tap the sign to the top section of the booth.

    • 6

Create a list of ticket prices. Write the name of each ticket, with the price to the right of the ticket name. Decorate the list and tape it next to the "Tickets" sign.

    • 7

Place a small chair inside the box. If the box is shorter than 4-feet tall, place the chair behind the box.
