How to Make Rubik's Magic Faster

Rubik's Magic is a puzzle with an illusion. The puzzle has eight squares. When in the unsolved position, the squares lie in two rows of four with three unconnected rings. You must solve the puzzle by placing the squares in a heart shape with the rings connected. The squares are connected via strings. Stretching those strings slightly will cause the squares to snap back into place more quickly, making the puzzle faster to solve.

Instructions

    • 1

Solve the Rubik's Magic by arranging the squares in the heart shape, which places the strings in an already slightly stretched position.

    • 2

Place a quarter between two squares where the strings connect the squares. Fold the connect squares so the strings are visible. Slip the quarter in the space between the strings. It should be an extremely tight fit.

    • 3

Place seven more quarters in the other seven places where the squares connect. Do not place a quarter in the two places in the center that do not have strings. The quarters will fit extremely tightly.

    • 4

Set the Rubik's Magic aside, and leave it alone overnight. Remove the quarters; the strings will remain slightly stretched.
