How to Hang Toy Hammocks

Toy hammocks are convenient way to store your child's toys when the toy box they usually occupy is full to overflowing. In addition to this, they are also inexpensive and easy to install in any room corner. These hammocks are quick and easy to install. With minimum work, you'll soon have a storage solution to keep your child's bedroom tidy and keep their toys out from under your feet.

Things You'll Need

Toy hammock
Mounting hooks (Included with the hammock in most models)
Pencil
Drill
Small drill bit
Measuring tape

Instructions

  Determine the style of hammock you have purchased. Toy hammocks come in two or three point versions which dictates how many mounting points the hammock has.

  Select a corner to mount your hammock. Using the measuring tape, find the halfway point between floor and ceiling. If you have a two point hammock, mark each wall; if three point, mark each wall and in the corner itself.

  Determine how you want your hammock to hang. Adjust your markings on the wall accordingly for the proper amount of slack.

  Attach the drill bit to the drill. Carefully drill pilot holes using your marks as a guide.

  Using the pilot holes, twist the mounting hooks into place. Once secure, mount your toy hammock and use.
