Hornet AS-6 Instructions

The Hasbro company -- creators and owners of the Nerf brand of toys -- offers a variety of fantasy firearms for kids. One of these is the Hornet AS-6. This air-powered toy provides chiildren with the fun of simulated combat. The Hornet AS-6 shoots multiple soft projectiles and features two firing modes.

Instructions

  Slide a Nerf Micro Dart onto one of the dart shafts located on the front of the Hornet AS-6. Repeat this process until you have loaded six darts.

  Grip the cocking mechanism above the loaded darts. Pull it away from and back toward the handle. This prepares the toy for shooting.

  Grip the pump handle beneath the loaded darts. Pump it in and out approximately 15 to 20 times. This pressurizes the Hornet's air compartment.

  Depress one or both of the large, circular orange buttons on the sides of the toy to set the Hornet in auto-fire mode. Do not depress the buttons if you prefer single-fire mode.

  Pull the trigger to fire the toy. All six of the foam darts are released in automatic mode. One dart is released each time you pull the trigger in single-fire mode. The darts travel as far as 30 feet.
