How to Attach a Lionel Command Base to a Track

Lionel trains were created by inventor Joshua Lionel Cowen around the turn of the 20th century. Since the company's founding, countless children have received Lionel train sets under the tree as Christmas gifts. Over the years, as technology has advanced, so have Lionel trains. The Lionel Command Base allows multiple train operation on the same track at the same time.

     Plug in the Command Base wallpack.

     Plug the wallpack lead into the Command Base base power input jack. If it is connected correctly, the Command Base's green light will be on.

   • 3

     Connect one end of the wire to the Command Base binding post.

   • 4

     Connect the other end of the wire to the post marked with the letter U or the outside rail of three-rail tracks.
