How to Make My Longshot More Powerful

Nerf now manufactures a wide range of long-range blasters that fire foam darts. One such Nerf blaster is the N-Strike Longshot CS-6. The CS-6 features removable sights and a fold-down bipod. Although the CS-6 is designed to fire long distances, there are modifications that can be made to the blaster to make it fire even greater lengths. One of those modifications is the removal of the air restrictor. The air restrictor can be removed in approximately 30 minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the CS-6 on a flat surface with its right side down.

    • 2

Remove all the screws that hold the two halves of the CS-6 together. Set all the screws aside in a safe place so they do not get lost, and then pull the left half of the blaster up and off.

    • 3

Remove the spring and the plunger from the firing assembly.

    • 4

Snip off the small plastic tabs on the inside of the blaster's bolt sled assembly tube.

    • 5

Re-insert the plunger and spring and then gently put the left half of the Nerf Longshot back together with its other half.

    • 6

Install all the screws to hold the Longshot together. Load the cartridge with Nerf darts and slide it into the magazine chamber and test fire the CS-6.
