Instructions for LEGO Hewkii

The LEGO Hewkii is an action figure from the Toa series of Bionicles. This group of Bionicles is a biomechanical race of robots that have powers based in the elements. The Hewkii has a scythe-like sword in his right hand and a shield in his left hand. The LEGO Hewkii comes with a pre-assembled torso and upper body and six separately packaged accessories which must be assembled and then attached to the ball joints on the upper and lower body pieces.

  Slide one black cylindrical connector marked "1" into the center slot of the yellow T-shaped upper body piece and another black cylindrical connector into the bottom middle slot on the upper body piece. Slide a gray cylindrical connector marked "2" into the uppermost corners on each side of the upper body piece.

  Connect the oblong, yellow torso to the upper body piece by sliding it over the black connectors so that the two yellow ball joints are on the bottom. Snap the gray body armor piece onto the pegs on the front portion of the upper body and torso piece to secure all three pieces together.

  Familiarize yourself with the separately packaged leg pieces. These pieces include a black foot, a long black leg piece, a black leg shield, a black connector piece, one large yellow joint and one small yellow joint.

  Insert the small yellow joint into the top of the foot piece. Insert the ball joint of the black leg piece into the slot at the top of the small yellow joint. Slide the large yellow joint into the top of the leg piece with the peg holes facing the front of the leg. Attach the leg shield to the front of the large yellow joint by inserting the pegs into the peg holes. Secure the pieces by inserting the black connector through the center hole in the black shield and the large yellow joint. Repeat this process to assemble the other leg. Connect the legs to the torso by sliding the top of the yellow joint onto the ball joint on the torso.

  Familiarize yourself with the arm pieces, which are packaged separately and include a black forearm piece with two ball joints on either end, a black and gray shield piece, a large yellow joint, a small yellow joint, a gray connector and a gray weapon. The weapon for the right hand is a gray scythe-like sword. The weapon for the left hand is a gray shield.

  Assemble the arms by inserting the large yellow joint into the black shield so that it goes all the way through to the back open end of the shield. Slide the gray connector through the hole in the black shield and large yellow joint to secure the two pieces together. Insert one ball joint of the black arm piece into the slot on the large yellow joint. Connect the small yellow joint to the other side of the black arm piece by placing the slot over the open ball joint. Connect the arms by sliding the ball joints on the upper body piece into the slots in the long yellow arm joint and black shield.

  Attach the sword weapon to the right hand by inserting it into the cross-shaped slot on the inside of the small yellow joint. Attach the shield to the left hand by inserting it into the hole on the front of the small yellow joint.

  Assemble the head and helmet of the Hewkii. The pieces for the head and helmet will be packaged separately and include a black face plate, a green and white helmet, a black connector and a black ball joint with a hole in the middle. Turn the helmet upside down and insert the black connector into the hole in the inside of the helmet. Slide the black ball joint over the other end of the black connector. Turn the helmet right side up and snap the face plate onto the front of the helmet. Attach the head by sliding the ball joint of the head into the center hole of the yellow upper body piece.
