How to Make Rubber Clay

Rubbery putty that can be shaped and molded like clay can be used by children and adults. This type of putty was created duing World War II by scientists who were attempting to make synthetic rubber for military uses. Instead, they created Silly Putty, which has been a popular children's toy for more than half a century. While "eggs" of Silly Putty are still available to purchase in most stores that sell toys, you can easily make a Silly Putty-like rubber clay at home using items you probably already have in your house.
