How to Inflate a Bongo Stick

Spot some inflatable bongo sticks at the next sporting event you attend, around carnivals or as a balloon alternative at a birthday party. Hit the bongo sticks together to make a drumming noise, swing them around, wave them in the air or just play around with them. They can even be added to small bags as a party favor. You can find self-inflating ones or you can pump them up yourself in a matter of minutes.

Instructions

  1. Self-Inflate

    • 1

Remove the bongo stick from its packaging.

    • 2

Look at the bongo stick to find the pouch that is inside it.

    • 3

Hold the stick in your hands and apply some pressure over the pouch.

    • 4

Allow the bongo stick to self-inflate. This should only take a matter of seconds. The end result will be an inflated bongo stick that can reach up to 63 inches long, depending on the manufacturer.

    Pump Inflate

    • 5

Pull the bongo stick out of the packaging.

    • 6

Attach a handheld balloon pumper to the hole on your bongo stick. Make sure there is a secure connection between the stick and the pumper to prevent air from leaking out.

    • 7

Inflate the bongo stick by pumping the hand pumper back and forth. Continue this until you reach your desired size.

    • 8

Seal the end with the plug provided (if there is one) or tie it off. Tie the end to keep the air in with a simple overhand knot.
