How to Fix a Boomerang

A boomerang is a fun toy that comes back to you when thrown. This item is usually made of wood and fiberglass. Fixing a boomerang may seem difficult but it can be repaired with tools found at your local hardware store if they are not readily available at home. When you are repairing your boomerang, remember to wear gloves and work in a ventilated area. You may be without your boomerang for a day, but once it's repaired, you can begin playing with it again.

Fiberglass tape
Resin
Vise

  Apply a thin amount of resin on the break or crack on the boomerang. The resin should be brushed on each broken edge. The Boomerang Association of Australia states that resin can be used to repair broken boomerangs. Resin can be purchased at your local hardware store.

  Hold the two pieces together tightly for a few seconds. The broken pieces should bond quickly onto each other. Place the boomerang into to a vise so it stays together. Allow the resin to dry overnight. The resin will harden and connect the two broken pieces or fill in the crack.

  Apply fiberglass tape onto the break or crack. The fiberglass tape provides added security, ensuring that the boomerang does not get damaged again. The Boomerang Association of Australia also states that fiberglass tape, along with resin is used to repair a broken boomerang. You can purchase fiberglass tap at your local hardware store.
