Instructions

  1. Prime Your Pieces

    • 1

Take apart the pieces of your Beyblade battle top. Place the sections of the Beyblade onto newspaper. Take the pieces and newspaper outside in an area that is safe for spray-painting.

    • 2

Spray a layer of paint primer over your Beyblade pieces. Shake your paint primer before you begin spraying. Spray until the Beyblade pieces are covered with an even coat of primer. Do not spray too much primer. After one coat, let the pieces dry for five to 10 minutes.

    • 3

Flip your pieces over and spray any parts of the pieces that were missed. Use only one coat of primer and let the pieces dry for five to 10 minutes before moving them.

    Painting Your Beyblade

    • 4

Apply a base color to your Beyblade using your spray paint. Shake your spray paint well and apply a coat to your pieces. Keep your can spaced about 6 inches away from your pieces while you spray. Apply three to four coats. Wait 20 to 30 minutes in between each coat to allow the paint to dry.

    • 5

Bring your Beyblade pieces and newspaper indoors and place them on a table. Add details to your Beyblade using your model brushes and paints. Shake your paints before using them and paint on any highlights, logos and designs you desire. Keep your paint brushes wet and wash them frequently with water. Work slowly and use as little paint as possible. Allow your detailing to dry for 20 minutes.

    • 6

Paint shadows onto your Beyblade using a dry paint brush. Apply a thin layer of paint onto your brush and lightly go over the sides and ridges of your Beyblade with a dark paint color. Correct any mistakes you make by soaking up the paint with paper towels. Allow your shadows to dry for 20 minutes.

    • 7

Review your Beyblade and paint any other details desired. Put your Beyblade back together once all your pieces have dried. If some of the pieces have trouble fitting due to excessive paint, take them apart and remove large clumps of paint with a modeling knife.
