How to Remove the Handle on a Nerf Longstrike

Those seeking a Nerf blaster with extraordinary range and accuracy need not look any further than the N-Strike Longstrike CS-6. The Longstrike CS-6 blaster (which replaced the Longshot CS-6) has several exciting features. The CS-6 also has a shoulder stock that snaps onto the rear of the blaster near the hand grip. Although the manual states the shoulder stock is meant to snap on and not be removed, one may wish to remove it in order to use the blaster by holding the pistol grip only. Visual inspection reveals a safe way to remove the stock without breaking the blaster.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the CS-6 over on its right hand side so that there are six small holes facing upward. Three of these holes are located on the hand grip of the CS-6 where the bottom half of the stock is attached. One hole is located where the upper half of the CS-6's stock meets the back of the blaster. Two holes are located in the middle.

    • 2

Insert a screwdriver into each hole and remove all six screws.

    • 3

Insert a plastic putty knife into the middle of the seam on the front of the hand grip and twist it slightly apart. Do not twist the putty knife too sharply in order to avoid breaking the blaster.

    • 4

Pull the stock out from the CS-6's grip as you gently pry the handle apart.

    • 5

Replace all six screws along the handle and screw them in with the screwdriver.
