How to Put on the Naruto Bandana

"Naruto" bandanas, also known as Japanese headbands or hachimaki, feature the symbols of the various ninja villages from the anime and manga series of the same name. The headband itself serves as an indicator that a ninja has reached the beginning of the path to greatness. Ninjas in the series wear their bandanas proudly, and even those who leave their homes and cross off the emblems still wear the bandanas. Viz Media and Mattel produce a series of "Official Naruto" bandanas for fans of the series.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the bandana on the area where you plan to wear it. Few ninja from the "Naruto" series actually wear the bandana as a headband, preferring to wear it as a belt, collar or armband. Ninja make this decision based on their personality.

    • 2

Pull the two ends of the headband towards your body with the metal logo facing outwards.

    • 3

Tie a simple overhand knot, the kind used to begin shoestrings, where the ends of the bandana meet.

    • 4

Tug on the ends to tighten the knot to a comfortable level. The "Naruto" bandana should neither slip easily nor cut off circulation.

    • 5

Tie a reverse overhand knot over the two ends to secure it. If your first knot used the left side over the right, then the reverse knot will use the right over the left. This creates a secure square knot that remains easy to remove.
