Mattel Air Snares Instructions

Children often like to release their inner "rock star" by engaging in air drumming. Instead of playing a real drum set, they'll wave their hands and arms in a motion similar to playing snares and cymbals. Designed for the little drumming enthusiast, Mattel has released a toy called the "Air Snares." The two electronic drumsticks include built-in speakers that play several drum sounds by waving each stick in the air. Prior to using Air Snares, the toy must be set up properly. Follow a few simple steps to begin playing with Air Snares in a matter of minutes.

6 AAA batteries
Phillips-head screwdriver

Instructions

  Locate the battery compartment at the base of the drumstick. Unscrew the screw from the compartment cover with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Remove the battery door to reveal the compartment. Install 3 AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Match the direction of the "+" and "-" terminals to ensure proper installation of the batteries. Replace the battery door and install the batteries into the second drumstick.

  Plug in the provided connector cable into the bottom of both sticks. Press the "S" button at the bottom of the Master Stick to turn on the Air Snares toy. Press the "G" button to choose between one of the three available game modes: Game #1, Game #2 or Free Play. After selecting a game mode, press the "S" button again to start.

  Follow the instructions for each specific game. For Game #1, repeat the drum melody that the game creates for you. In Game #2, play along with the music using the same tempo and speed. For Free Play, simply play the drums as you see fit.
