How to Build a Bag Toss Gameboard

Bag toss, also known in some places as Corn Hole, is a game where the player must toss a small bean bag into a hole in the far end of a plywood board. Many of these game setups are homemade and decorated as the creator would like. It can be played on almost any level surface. The construction process only takes some basic woodworking skills.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut a piece of plywood with a handsaw. This piece should measure 48 inches long by 24 inches wide.

    • 2

Cut a hole in one end of the plywood with a hole saw. The hole should measure 6 inches in diameter and at the far end of the plywood. This is the end that will be farther from the player.

    • 3

Cut six pieces of 2-by-4 lumber with a hand saw. The first two pieces should be 2 1/2 to 4 inches long. The second two pieces should be 12 inches long. The third two pieces should be 48 inches long.

    • 4

Build one side of the stand that will hold up the plywood platform. Connect one end of the 48-inch board to one one end of the 12-inch lumber so that they create a 90-degree angle. Insert screws through the side of the 48-inch board and into the top of the 12-inch board with a power drill. Connect the 2.5 to 4-inch board to the other end of the 48-inch board in the same manner that you connected the 12-inch board. Create the remaining side of the stand by repeating this process.

    • 5

Connect one side of the stand to the underside edge of the plywood platform. Align the 48-inch board on the top of the stand with the 48-inch edge of the plywood. Insert and tighten screws through the top of the plywood stand and into the stand. Repeat this process for the remaining side of the plywood and stand.

    • 6

Paint the top of the plywood if you desire. Place the game board on a level surface to play.
