How to Remove the Air Restrictor on a Nurf Long Shot

Nerf toys are safe and popular among children. Made with a sponge-like substance, the acronym stands for "Non-Expanding Recreational Foam." Commonly known for a variety of toys including balls for sports like basketball and football, Nerf features other toys such as the Nerf Blasters. Blasters are guns that shoot darts or balls made from Nerf foam. Nerf features the N-Strike collection of toy guns including the Longshot CS-6, which is a two-in-one blaster, over 3 feet long and launches arrows up to 35 feet away. The gun launches the arrows a shorter distance when you remove the air restrictor.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove all 28 screws from the Longshot before detaching the casing. Account for all of the screws including 21 in the main body and seven screws in the shoulder stock.

    • 2

Lift the bolt sled from the Longshot. Separate the bolt from the sled by removing the metal retaining pin that holds the bolt and bolt sled.

    • 3

Remove the plunger casing from the Longshot and leave the bolt inside.

    • 4

Snap off the three plastic supports that hold the air restrictor with a wire cutter and the air restrictor components will drop out.

    • 5

Put the bolt assembly back in the plunger casing and reassemble the casing.
