How to Pull Apart a Nurf Long Shot

Since the 1980s, the Hasbro toy company's Nerf line has manufactured plastic toy weapons. One of the largest weapons in the Nerf armory is the "Longshot CS-6," a bolt-action clip-fed sniper rifle over three feet long. It can fire a Nerf dart accurately up to 35 feet away. The Longshot can also be disassembled into two individual toy weapons; a single-shot pistol and a snub-nosed rifle.

      Pull the rear trigger to fire any dart that might be loaded in the Longshot.

      Rotate the front portion of the Longshot -- the part that converts into a pistol -- 90 degrees counterclockwise, looking down from the rear of the weapon. The pistol handle should come up on the right side of the weapon.

      Pull the pistol straight forward and off the Longshot rifle body. You may now use both the pistol and the rifle as separate weapons.
