How to Put the Nerf Longstrike Together

With a front iron sight, quick reload clip and fire-ready indicator, this isn't your grandparent's Nerf toy -- or your parent's, for that matter. The Longstrike is a Nerf rifle that fires Nerf darts from a spring-fed cartridge. It is equipped with a flip-up rear sight, a jam clearing door and a snap-on shoulder stock that has storage space for two extra ammunition clips or cartridges. No tools are needed to assemble the Nerf Longstrike.

Instructions

    • 1

Slide the firing bolt though the side of the Nerf Longstrike so that the bare metal end sticks out the other side. There will be a plastic orange knob on one end. Attach the other plastic knob onto bare metal end of the firing bolt.

    • 2

Line up the two notches on the shoulder stock to the two holes on the back end of the Longstrike, near the grip, then snap the shoulder stock into place.

    • 3

Place the flip-up sight plastic mounting area on top of the Longstrike, then slide it backward until you hear it click into the locked position.

    • 4

Tilt the barrel slightly to the left so that its notch aligns with the notch at the end of the Longstrike. Slide the barrel onto the end of the rifle and then twist it to the left to lock it into place.

    • 5

Load the Longstrike's dart magazine. Follow the directional arrows on the magazine itself to make sure the darts are loaded in the correct direction. Snap the magazine into the magazine holder on the bottom side of the Longstrike, just in front of the trigger guard. Pull the firing rod back and then squeeze the trigger to shoot.
