Things You'll Need
Instructions
Unzip the jumper's access hole (if it has one) and turn the jumper inside-out. Patching the inside will look much better than patching the outside. If you cannot turn the jumper inside-out, you will have to patch the outside.
Flatten the punctured section on the ground.
Cut a vinyl patch that is two inches larger that the puncture in all directions. The edges should be rounded to help prevent future peeling.
Clean the punctured area with rubbing alcohol and a rag.
Apply vinyl adhesive around the puncture. If your patch has a peel-off backing, remove it.
Firmly press the patch against the cleaned vinyl, smoothing out any air bubbles.
Cut out and apply mesh reinforcement over the patch if your kit includes one. Apply a second, slightly larger patch over the mesh to secure it in place.
Set several phone books or another weight onto the patch.
Let the patch dry for the amount of time recommended by the manufacturer. This may be anywhere from a few hours to an entire day.
Re-inflate the jumper and ensure that no air is leaking thorough the patch.
