Place the Vac-U-Form on a flat surface prior to using it. For best results, operate the device away from any open windows and out of drafts.
Place the provided square platform in the vacuum chamber. Place a mold that came with the Vac-U-Form in the center of the platform. On larger molds, fit the small pegs on the bottom of the mold into the slots on the platform.
Place a provided plastic square in the frame located at the top of the heating chamber. Make sure that the square lies flat over the frame with the holes fitting over the prongs. Swing the clamp over the frame until the square is held tightly into place.
Plug the power cord into the Vac-U-Form and a nearby wall outlet. Allow ten minutes for the device to warm up. After the ten minutes, wait a maximum of three extra minutes (two minutes for silver plastic) to heat the plastic square.
Swing the plastic frame to the left (using your left hand) to cover the vacuum chamber on the left side of the Vac-U-Form. Press down on the frame handle firmly to secure the frame into place. While holding the frame, quickly press the pump four to five times with your right hand as quickly as possible.
Let the plastic cool for a few seconds after the mold has formed. Lift the frame slightly and separate it from the clamp. Push the plastic out of the frame using one finger. The mold will have been completed.
