How to Make an Air Powered Marshmallow Shooter

Turn a sweet treat into a fun and safe weapon with an air powered marshmallow shooter. You can hand out your homemade shooters as party favors at a child's birthday or turn a family reunion into a full scale battle. Miniature marshmallows are soft and the gun will not fire them fast enough to cause any bruises or injuries so even young children can enjoy playing with these shooters. Although, you may find that little ones are more interested in eating their ammunition than playing war games.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Cut a 2-foot length of 1/2-inch diameter PVC pipe with a saw or PVC pipe cutters to create five 3-inch sections, one 1-inch section and one 8-inch section.

    • 2

Push a PVC end cap onto one end of a 3 inch section of pipe and attach a PVC elbow joint to the other end of the pipe. This creates the rear handle of your marshmallow shooter.

    • 3

Push another 3-inch section of pipe onto the open end of the elbow joint from step two.

    • 4

Attach the center opening of a PVC T-joint to one end of the 1-inch section of pipe and attach an elbow joint to the opposite end of the pipe.

    • 5

Attach the T-joint from step four to the end of the 3-inch pipe from step three. Twist the elbow at the top of the T-joint so it points towards the rear handle of the marshmallow shooter.

    • 6

Push another 3-inch section of pipe into the open end of the T-joint from step four and step five. Press another T-joint onto the end of this pipe with the center opening pointing down.

    • 7

Attach a 3-inch piece of pipe to the center opening of the second T-joint in step six and place an end cap on the other end of the pipe. This completes the front handle of your marshmallow shooter.

    • 8

Push the 8-inch section of pipe into the last opening of the T-joint. This forms the barrel of your marshmallow shooter.

    • 9

Attach the last 3-inch section of pipe to the elbow joint located at the top of the marshmallow shooter. You will blow into this pipe to operate your marshmallow shooter.
