Nerf N-Strike Instructions

While most Nerf guns are fairly simple to use, the N-Strike collection contains fully automatic toys that require a little extra instruction. The line features weapons such as the Vulcan EBF-25, the Stampede ECS and the Longstrike CS-6. The Stampede and the Vulcan are automatic, require batteries and are slightly more complicated to reload than the Longstrike CS-6, however each weapon operates on basically the same principals. All Nerf guns use soft rubber-tipped bullets and are completely safe for children to use indoors and outdoors.

Instructions

  1. Vulcan EBF-25

    • 1

Remove the battery holder from underside of the gun using a Philips head screwdriver. Place six "D" alkaline batteries into the holder and reattach the holder to the gun.

    • 2

Insert the barrel into the front of the gun with the "T" shape facing upwards until you hear it click into place. Snap the carrying handle into the two holes located just in front of the breech cover on the top and the tripod into the bottom of the gun bellow the breech cover. Lift the breech cover and attach the ammo box onto the left side of the gun next to the breech cover.

    • 3

Load the bullets into the ammo belt so that the black tips are all flush and facing the same direction.

    • 4

Open the ammo box and breech cover on the gun and fold the belt evenly into the ammo box with the darts facing forwards towards the barrel of the gun.

    • 5

Place the "dummy" cartridge at the end of the belt into the groove located on the feeding gear.

    • 6

Close the lid on the ammo box followed by the breech cover. Pull the cocking mechanism back and press it forward once to load the first dart into the gun. You can now either pull the trigger and re-cock the gun for single shot use, or you can lift the cover on the switch above the trigger, set it to the "On" position and hold the trigger down for fully automatic firing.

    Stampede ECS

    • 7

Loosen the screws holding the battery pack in the butt of the gun using the Philips screwdriver and remove the pack. Insert six "D" alkaline batteries into the back, reinsert the pack and tighten the screws.

    • 8

Insert the darts into the clip with the rubber tips facing the direction indicated on the clip. Do not overload the clips as this could cause the gun to jam.

    • 9

Attach the blast shield and the bipod to the respective top and bottom of the gun by pressing the "release" switches on both items and inserting them into the tabs until they click.

    • 10

Load the clip into the gun with the darts facing the barrel until your hear a click.

    • 11

Flip the power switch to the "On" position located on the side of the gun above the trigger. Close the jam clearing door on the side of the gun and pull the trigger to fire.

    Longstrike CS-6

    • 12

Insert the cocking mechanism's bolt through the mechanism and attach the holding piece to the other side to lock it in place. You will hear it click when it is locked in place.

    • 13

Attach the butt stock into the two slots located at the back of the gun by the grip and the fire-ready indicator until it clicks into place. Slide the barrel onto the nub located at the front of the gun and twist 90 degrees to lock it in place. The barrel has grooves in it that need to be matched up with the nub's in order for it to slide into place.

    • 14

Lift the targeting sights on the top rail of the gun until it clicks into place. Load the darts into the clip with the rubber tips facing the direction indicated on the clip.

    • 15

Pull the cocking mechanism back until the indicator on the back of the gun is red. Load the clip into the gun until it clicks and slide the cocking mechanism forwards to load the first dart.

    • 16

Pull the trigger to fire the gun. Pull the cocking mechanism back and forwards to load the next dart and repeat until the clip is empty. Press the button above the clip to release it, reload the clip and repeat the process.
