     Bend your glow stick to break the thin layer of glass within it. Shake the glow stick so that the chemicals mix and it begins to glow.

     Place the glow stick into the freezer. Leave the glow stick in the freezer overnight.

     Remove the glow stick from the freezer for use. At first, the glow stick will not glow as brightly. But as the temperature of the glow stick reaches room temperature, the glow stick will brighten more.

     Store the glow stick in the freezer after each use. This will ensure a longer lifespan of the glow stick.
