How to Make a Lego Grim Reaper

Fans of Legos are limited only by their imagination. For the particularly macabre, the grim reaper can be a dark complement to any Lego collection. The classic image of the grim reaper is of a skeleton draped in black cloth, carrying a scythe and riding a pale, white horse. The black pants and torso required to create the grim reaper are relatively commonplace; some of the other parts, such as the skeleton head or the scythe blade, may need to be ordered.

Black cloth cape (Part No. bb473)
Scythe blade (Part No. 59229)
Pike (Part No. bb468pb01)
Black Headgear Hood (Part No. x115)
Black torso
Black pants
Black hands
White Horse (Part No. 4493c01pb04)

Instructions

  Assemble the grim reaper's body by attaching black Lego pants to a black Lego torso. Remove the yellow hands on the torso and replace them with black hands.

  Slide the black cloth cape over the head peg on the black torso. Secure the cape by placing the skeleton head onto the head peg. Put the black headgear hood on the skeleton head.

  Form the grim reaper's scythe. Attach the scythe blade to the top of a pike. Place the completed scythe into one of the grim reaper's hands.

  Slide the grim reaper figure into the slot on the back of a white Lego horse.
