How to Change the Batteries in a C015C iDog

The iDog by Hasbro is a novel way to enjoy music on an MP3 player. The speaker on the iDog allows you to listen to your favorite MP3s without headphones. The iDog also dances a bit when you attach it to an MP3 player or stand it next to a speaker. If your iDog suddenly stops moving or will not play music, chances are the batteries require replacement. Changing the batteries in a C015C iDog is simply a matter of finding the hidden battery compartment and swapping out the old batteries for fresh ones.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the iDog upside down in one hand and locate the screw on the right rear leg. The screw is on the right of the paw.

    • 2

Loosen the screw with a Phillips screwdriver and lift the right rear leg from the iDog. This reveals the battery compartment. The screw does not remove from the leg. Set the leg aside.

Pull the two old batteries out of the battery compartment. Insert two new AA batteries into the battery compartment. When inserting the batteries, ensure that you match the ends (negative and positive) with the stamp on the inside of the battery compartment.

    • 4

Position the leg over the battery compartment until it sits flush on the iDog. Tighten the securing screw with the screwdriver.
