How to Make Your Own Fingerboard Skate Park

A finger board is a miniature skateboard that is "skated" using two fingers in place of where a skater would put his feet on a regular-sized board. Creating a skate park for a finger board is a much easier endeavor than its full-sized cousin, and far cheaper as well. Using common household items, including cardboard boxes such as cereal boxes and sections of wire coat hanger, you can easily assemble your own park for performing jumping and grinding tricks.

Things You'll Need

  • Cereal boxes
  • Paint
  • Paint brushes
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Card stock
  • Coat hangers

Instructions

    • 1

Paint the boxes the color you want your ramps to be.

    • 2

Cut off the tops of all the boxes.

    • 3

Cut along the corner fold lines of the boxes on the side you want to create a ramp. For example, for a ramp with four half-pipe sides, cut all four corners; however, for a ramp with only one half-pipe side, cut only a pair of adjacent folds. Leave a section near the bottom of the box uncut to create a flat top to the curved section of the ramp.

    • 4

Trim any uncut sides on ramps that do not have four curved sides, so the box is as tall as you want the ramp to be.

    • 5

Press the box top down in the location on the card stock park you want the ramp to be, causing the sides with corners cut to bend out in an arc shape. Secure in place with glue or tape.

    • 6

Cut sections of wire hanger and glue them to the top of the ramps to create coping.

    • 7

Attach a wire hanger piece between two small boxes or two ramps to create a grind rail.
