Things You'll Need
Instructions
Rip the handles on the plastic bag in half, or cut them with scissors. Put five pennies in the bottom middle of the bag to give it more weight and shape. Hold the pennies in one hand and pull the plastic straight out with your other hand so that the ends of the handles line up.
Twist the plastic bag tightly, starting from the pennies and going all the way up to the bottom of the handles. As you twist, wrap the twisted plastic around the pennies and make sure to cross the plastic so that it forms a sphere over the pennies.
Spread the plastic of the one of the handle halves over the twisted plastic to cover it. Do the same with the other pieces of the handles, but spread them out in the opposite direction as the first one so that they cross.
Clamp the plastic ball down in a clothespin so that it doesn't unravel as you work. Cut two pieces of string to about 6 inches long. Tie one string around the middle of the ball and tie the other one to cross it. Remove the clothespin and tie a tight knot in the string where it was clamped down. Trim the excess string from the knots.
Dab some epoxy on the knots of the string and at different points where the string touches the plastic. Wait 24 hours for the epoxy to dry before playing with the homemade plastic ball.
