Dress-Up Twins Games

Dress-up games ignite the imagination, and with a twin around, a child always has built-in playmate. The possibilities for this type of playtime are endless when you have a box of dress-up clothes at your disposal. Help your twins get the most out of their dress-up time by encouraging them to play pretend games and by collecting dress-up materials at tag sales and thrift shops, or when cleaning out closets.

Princess Tea Party
- If you have twin girls, invite them and all of their stuffed animals to a royal event. A princess-themed tea party can be an elaborate affair complete with costume jewelry, high-heeled shoes and tiaras. Provide pretty dresses and feather boas to complete the ensemble.
  
  Another option your girls can enjoy in the lap of luxury is a special snack complete with a teapot with hot tea and dainty cookies or pastries. After the tea party, transform the gathering into an elegant ball for the girls to pretend they are dancing the night away with Prince Charming.
Cops and Robbers
- Boys, too, can get in on the dress-up fun too. Create a high-speed chase situation when a bank robber attempts to escape the local police force. The "robber" can wear a black-and-white-striped shirt or a mask over his head to conceal his identity. The cop can adorn his head with a police hat and carry a water gun to try and apprehend the criminal. To make the game more exciting, give the robber a pull wagon to store his loot and a second pull wagon for the policeman to take in the bad guy when he is caught. A set of male and female twins can also play this game.
Cowboys and Cowgirls
- Welcome your twins to the Wild, Wild West with a dress-up game for cowboys and cowgirls. Wrangle ups some flannel shirts, bandannas and jeans for both twins to use for their ensemble. And no cowboy or cowgirl outfit would be complete without a ten-gallon hat.
  
  Another idea is to use jump rope as a lasso to make sure those stuffed animals are corralled properly. You could also transform your kitchen into a saloon and give your twins a proper Western-themed snack, such as a burger with barbecue sauce or some baked beans.
Space Games
- This dress-up game is sure to be a blast. For a space-themed pretend game, select one twin to be the astronaut and the other to be an alien from another planet. The astronaut can wear sliver or gray-colored clothing to resemble a space suit. Let your twins use their imagination to come up with the alien's wardrobe. You could use bright-colored clothing, socks on hands, and face paint to create a being from a whole other world. Another idea is to transform an old refrigerator box into a space ship for the twins to use on their space-travel adventures.
