How to Find a Furby

Furby toys were a fad item in the late 1990s and early 2000s. At some points, it was nearly impossible to find a Furby in stores. The animatronic toys stand about a hand high. With large, pointed ears, a tuft of hair, a beak-like mouth and a furry body, Furbies do not look similar to any other toy. Furbies come out the box speaking "Furbish." By interacting with the Furby, it "learns" English thanks to a pre-programmed internal component. The toys are no longer manufactured, so hopeful buyers must look on the secondhand market.

Instructions

    • 1

Search for "Furby" and Furby-related terms on an online auction site. Type "Furby" to complete a broad search or a more specific model, such as "FIrst Edition Furby."

    • 2

Check online sites, such as Craigslist or Amazon, that offer secondhand goods for sale. Use the same broad or specific search terms depending on the model of Furby you're seeking.

    • 3

Visit vintage toy shops in your area to check on their supply of Furby toys. Ask the sales clerk to notify you if Furbies come into the store.

    • 4

Go through a Furby fan site, such as Adopt a Furby, where owners offer their supplies for sale. On Adopt a Furby, click on "Adopt Centre" and browse the Furbies for sale.
