Activate the red and green LED lights on the front of the multi-tool. Press the left red button under the compass for the red LED. Press the right red button for the green LED.
Locate the removable tweezers on the left side of the tool and slide them out; pinch the tweezers together to grasp things. Snap the tweezers out to detach them from the tool and push them back into the same position until you hear them snap into place.
Use the whistle and flip-up belt clip. Locate the whistle on the right side of the tool and slide it out to use it. Now, locate the flip-up belt clip at the top of the tool and slide it out; attach the clip to your belt loop.
Use the disc launcher. Locate the round disc launcher on the back of the tool and the trigger on each side of the launcher. Pull the triggers out to open them, then slide one round disc into the slot. Squeeze the triggers together to launch the disc into the air. Slide the disc into the storage compartment found over the spy-scope when you are not using them.
Use the compass. Place the multi-tool on a level surface or hold it steady until the indicator spins freely. The indicator will always point north; use this to determine the direction you want to go.
Use the 2X magnification scope. Locate the scope and remove any disc from the storage compartment before using it. Pull the scope loose from the tool -- it will still be attached. Assemble the scope; turn the tool over onto its side and pull the circular disc storage piece down. Slide the attached disc launcher piece out so that it is parallel with the top of the tool. Now, pull the scope up and attach it to the top of the tool. Make sure you are eye level with the end of the disc storage piece, then look through the scope. The assembled scope will be a hollow, rectangular shape.
Replace the batteries. Locate the battery compartment door found below the LED buttons. Use a small Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the screws, then remove the door -- the screws remain attached to the door for safekeeping. Remove and properly discard any old batteries. Place two, button-cell LR44 batteries, negative side down, into the compartment. Replace the cover and tighten the screws.
