Making Up Stories
Girls love fairy tales. Allow a group of girls to create their own prince/princess stories. Suggest an idea to help get the story rolling, then let the girls take turns adding to the story. Ideas for stories can include fairy tales the girls are already familiar with. Try letting them change the stories by adding different endings or their own twists to the stories. Consider letting the girls tell a familiar story in a new setting, or create your own fairy tales and stories from scratch.
Play Acting
Play acting can be a great twist on storytelling. Rather than tell stories, let your group of girls act the stories out. This can be more fun than sitting around and writing or talking. Assign a character in the stories to each girl, then pick one girl to narrate and put on a play.
Fun Quizzes
Make up a number of quizzes on current topics of interest to girls. The quizzes can be about fashion, TV shows, teen heart throbs and celebrities or on social issues like "Best Ways to Make Friends" or "Party Etiquette for Kids." Offer prizes to the girl who can answer the most questions on each of these quizzes.
Fashion Fun
Girls love dressing up. Supply the make-up, perfume and fancy clothes, then let the girls take turns dressing each other up and applying make-up to one another. They can also give one another new hairstyles, then host a fashion show. Keep it fun and fair by making sure each girl who models gets a prize.
