Flytech Dragonfly Tricks

The Flytech Dragonfly, designed by WowWee, is a robotic flying machine that mimics the flight pattern of a dragonfly. The device is controlled via a battery-operated remote with a range of up to 50 feet. It can fly both indoors and outdoors while completing circles, loops, dive bombs and tight turn maneuvers.

Loop-de-loop
- The loop-de-loop is the Dragonfly's version of a back flip. Simply hold the device by its tail, level with the ground. Then push down and release the tail simultaneously while pulling straight back on the accelerator joystick to complete the loop.
Spiral
- Flip the switch on the Dragonfly's body to put the flight processor into "Expert" mode, allowing for tighter turns and better user control. Gain altitude and release the left stick while simultaneously pushing the right joystick to the left or right to complete a tight downward spiral in that direction.
Dive Bomb
- Gain altitude and hover in place and press the left joystick straight forward to drop the Dragonfly into a dive bomb. Make sure to pull back on the left stick before the device crashes to the ground.
Doughnuts
- This trick requires a finessing of both left and right joysticks with the Dragonfly in "Expert" mode. The goal of this trick is to attain a desired altitude and begin a left or right turn. Continue that turn to complete a series of doughnuts while maintaining altitude.
