Things You'll Need
Instructions
Get a stretch of pipe no less than one foot in length. It does not have to be very thick metal because fireworks do not contain the destructive power needed to blast metal. However, the pipe should not have any cracks or holes in it.
Using the arc welder, weld a cap to one side of the pipe to prevent backfire or air escaping out of the pipe. You do not have to use a welder if you do not have one. All you need to do is put up a blocker to ensure that one end of the pipe is completely sealed. For a simple blocker, you can place the tube on a block of wood and use an industrial glue to seal it to the pipe. Alternatively, you can stuff the end with thick rags or towels to prevent air flow; however, this method is much less effective. Anything that will block one end of the pipe will work.
Mount the tube in a place that you want to shoot off fireworks. It should be as sturdy and level as possible to prevent it from tipping over. If possible, build a stand that the pipe can rest on. You can do this by simply getting some spare lumber and nailing up a base that the pipe can lean on.
Light the firework and drop it into the pipe. The combustion caused by the firework combined with the lack of oxygen and the single exit point will cause the firework to launch much further than it would if it were not in a pipe.
