Instructions for Putting a Trampoline Together

A trampoline can bring hours of enjoyment to yourself and your children. However, before you can use a trampoline, it must be assembled. You should also read all of the safety instructions that come with your trampoline. If, however, you have purchased a used trampoline, it may not have safety warnings or instructions. This can make assembling the trampoline somewhat of a guessing game and rather difficult. The following instructions should help you properly and safely assemble your new trampoline.

Instructions

  1. Assembling the Frame

    • 1

Lay all of the curved rail pieces in a circle. There are eight curved pieces total. Four of the leg pieces should have two leg sockets. The remaining four will not have any leg sockets.

    • 2

Lay the leg pieces inside of the circle with the four horizontal bars, which are curved in the middle, towards the rails. There are also eight vertical bars. Lay one vertical bar on either side of each horizontal bar.

    • 3

Insert the vertical leg bars into each side of the horizontal leg pieces and return them to their place. There may be snap buttons on the end of each vertical piece that must be pressed in before they will slide into place.

    • 4

Stand up one of the leg assemblies. Connect the leg assembly to one of the rails with two sockets.

    • 5

Stand up a second leg and attach into the second socket of the same rail.

    • 6

Connect one of the rails with no sockets into one of the rails with two sockets.

    • 7

Connect a rail with two sockets to the rail with no sockets.

    • 8

Connect the third leg assembly into the rail with two sockets.

    • 9

Repeat the connection steps until all rails and legs are assembled.

    Attaching the Jumping Mat

    • 10

Position the jumping mat so that the warning label is facing up. Attach four springs to the mat notches and then to the v-notch on the frame. The mat notches are semi-circle metal attachments on the outer portion of the mat. The frame v-notches are small metal triangles found on the inner part of the frame. Attach the mat so that the frame is divided into quarters. This can be an estimation.

    • 11

Return to one of the attached springs. Counting clockwise, move four notches and four v-rings. Attach another spring to the fourth notch and v-ring.

    • 12

Repeat the above step until all springs are in place. You may need to reposition the original springs as you place the other springs to ensure that springs are only in every fourth notch and v-ring.

    • 13

Connect a spring to every middle v-ring and notch, moving clockwise. Continue until you have completed the circle.

    • 14

Connect the remaining springs into the remaining v-notches and rings, moving clockwise.

    Attaching the Frame Pad

    • 15

Lay each of the eight frame pads on the frame, creating a full circle. Each pad should have small flaps on the outside edge. Place these flaps in line with each of the trampoline legs.

    • 16

Connect each of the frame pads together using the velcro connectors. Each pad will have a total of four connectors. There are two on each end of the pad, one on the top and one on the bottom.

    • 17

Locate the 16 bungee buttons. These are located on the underside of the frame pad and resemble a T-shaped anchor attached to a bungee cord.

    • 18

Wrap the button section around the frame and place the button inside of the bungee, creating an anchor for the pad. Repeat until all bungee buttons are secured.

    • 19

Attach the warning placard to the frame of the trampoline in a spot where it can be accessed and seen easily. A cable tie will ensure that the placard is not easily removed.
