Things You'll Need
Instructions
Change out the batteries in the remote. If the AA batteries have failed or are about to expire, you are going to lose communication with the Blade 400. The Blade is still going to fly, you just have no control over the RC device, which means the helicopter may fly for miles or crash into a building. Likewise you want to replace the batteries in the Blade 400, otherwise it is going to just drop out of the sky when the batteries fail.
Lubricate the bottom of the two propellers, directly where the blade comes in contract with the vehicle. Because it spins at such a rapid pace the blade begins to grind on the vehicle, causing it to warp, bend and smell of smoke. Eventually the blade may just break off.
Tighten the Phillips screws on the top of the propeller blade. This holds the blade on top of the helicopter. If the screw falls off during mid flight the propeller blade is going to fly off, sending the RC device to the ground.
Replace the tail blade if you find the helicopter is beginning to weave back and forth, regardless of how you handle the controls. This is a sign the rear blade is beginning to fail. Purchase a replacement blade from the shop you purchased the Blade 400 and install it in the place of the current propeller.
