Frequent Fighting
When fighting becomes more frequent than harmony in your relationship, this can be a foretelling sign. Maybe you and your partner just seem to clash and can't see eye to eye. Other communication issues that cause fights include going on the defensive. When one or more partners goes on guard immediately, what starts as a normal conversation can quickly turn into argument. Not being able to get along with your partner makes maintaining a relationship seemingly pointless.
Cheating
When one or more partners go outside of the relationship for comfort on any level, it can be considered cheating. Whether or not you're having an emotional or physical affair, it shows that you are uncomfortable with the situation involving your current partner. This is a definite sign of a troubled relationship that requires attention.
Decrease In Sexual Attraction
If you find yourself becoming less sexually attracted to your partner, or that she is neglecting your needs, this could be a foreboding sign. Although it is normal for sex drive to decrease throughout the length of a relationship, when it becomes a noticeable problem, it is important to communicate with your partner about the issues.
Detachment
If you find yourself spending less time with your partner, then it may be time to talk about the relationship. It is easy to get into a busy routine with the everyday hustle and flow of life, but spending less and less time with your loved ones hurts relationships. Take a look at your situation. Are you making plans purposely to avoid spending time with your partner? Do either of you feel detached, distant or uninterested in spending time together?
Overreacting To Everyday Problems
Blowing things out of proportion frequently is a telltale sign of underlying issues in a relationship. For example, you may find yourself wanting to blow up over things as minute as your partner forgetting to give you a telephone message from a missed call. You may want to lash out as if your partner betrayed you over the tiniest of discrepancies. If you notice that your partner is displaying these characteristics, it is important to sit down and communicate with them to find out about the underlying troubles with your relationship.
Hopelessness
Feelings of hopelessness in your relationship is a sign of a serious issue. This can be an especially frustrating sign when you are in a long-term relationship that has lasted over a year. Feeling fed up with the relationship yet feeling unable to do anything about it can be damaging to your self-esteem. This defeated feeling is indicative of abuse in a relationship as well.
Change of Feelings
If you can't figure out what attracted you to your partner in the first place, you may be on your way to ending this relationship. Feelings change, and this is normal, but throughout a relationship the initial attraction should always remain to some extent. Not being able to connect with your initial feelings of attraction for your partner causes you to become detached from the relationship.
