How to Set the Failsafe on Spektrum

The Spektrum digital modulation system allows users of remote control vehicles to better control their devices without any radio interference. In the event of a signal loss, the system reverts to a "fail-safe" status, in which the vehicle stops entirely. To properly set your fail-safe settings, "bind" your modulation system's transmitter to your vehicle's RF receiver.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the Spektrum transmitter (located on your RF remote) and receiver (located on your remote control vehicle).

    • 2

Press and hold the "Bind" button on your receiver. Turn on the receiver while holding the button.

    • 3

Release the button when the LED light on the receiver flashes green.

    • 4

Set your desired fail-safe settings on the transmitter while it is still off.

    • 5

Press and hold the "Bind" button on the transmitter. Turn the transmitter on while holding the button.

    • 6

Release the "bind" button after the LED light on the transmitter flashes green. The settings that are currently set on your transmitter will become your fail-safe settings.
