How to Patch a Banzai Water Slide

You don't need an in-ground pool for your kids to enjoy a water slide on a hot summer day. ToyQuest manufactures a series of inflatable water slides you can place in your yard under the Banzai brand. The slides are made out of PVC coated Terylene and polyester, which may develop tears or holes with repeated use. Banzai water slides come packaged with repair patches that you can use to repair holes that may occur.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the hose and unplug the blower, so the slide deflates.

    • 2

Clean the area around the hole with a mild soap and water to ensure the patch sticks to the surface of the slide. Dry the area before continuing.

    • 3

Cut a circle out of the supplied repair patch that is approximately 1/2-half inch larger than the size of the hole. A patch shaped with sharp corners, such as a square or rectangle, is more likely to peel off the water slide.

    • 4

Apply vinyl adhesive to the back of the patch and spread an even coating to the edges.

    • 5

Press the patch over the hole and smooth it with your hand. Allow the adhesive to dry for at least 20 minutes before inflating the water slide again.
