How to Make a LEGO Commando Droid

The Commando Droids from "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" series were designed in a human shape to fit within clone battle gear. They have thin bodies and heads, but the protruding noses are shorter than the droid soldiers that came before them. A "Star Wars LEGO" replica of a Commando is put together from a few simple "Star Wars" pieces and three colors.

Things You'll Need

  • LEGO Star Wars pistol
  • LEGO black miniature wrench
  • LEGO Star Wars gray droid body
  • LEGO Star Wars Assassin droid figure
  • Gray marker or gray acrylic paint
  • Black marker or black acrylic paint
  • White marker or white acrylic paint
  • Small paintbrush
  • Scissors

Instructions

    • 1

Attach a black miniature wrench to the nozzle of a black LEGO "Star Wars" pistol to form the gun.

    • 2

Attach a pair of gray, LEGO "Star Wars" droid legs to a gray droid body piece. The nob on the body piece must be on the back of the figure.

    • 3

Use a pair of scissors to remove about 1/4 inch off the end of the head, or "nose" of a LEGO "Star Wars" Assassin droid figure.

    • 4

Color the head of the droid figure gray with a gray marker or gray acrylic paint. Paint a triangle in black marker or acrylic paint to represent a mouth. Use a white marker or white acrylic paint to paint a pair of eyes on it.

    • 5

Attach two LEGO "Star Wars" droid arms to either side of the commando droid's body. Place the gun in one of the droid's hands.
