How to Paint a Chaos Defiler

A Chaos Defiler is a powerful minion in the game Warhammer 40K. However, it always helps if your miniatures are properly painted to add the proper air of menace and presence to them. If you have a Chaos Defiler and you want it painted, you'll need brushes, model paint and a clear work surface.

Things You'll Need

Cardboard
Red model paint
Steel gray model paint
Brass model paint
Model brushes (fine brush and regular model brush)
Paint rag
Clear coat sealer

Instructions

  Set your Chaos Defiler on cardboard, which will catch any paint that drips.

  Set paint, brushes and a small rag near you.

  Paint the armor plating red. This includes the tops of the spider legs, the shoulder mounts and the torso assembly.

  Paint the weapons steel gray. This includes the head-mounted missile rack, the arm-mounted guns and the blades on the front left leg.

  Paint the missile heads in the missile rack red.

  Paint the exposed frame beneath the armor plating steel gray.

  Paint joint mechanisms, cables and rivets brass.

  Apply a clear coat sealer when you have finished painting the Chaos Defiler..
