Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place an 8 1/2-inch by 11-inch piece of paper on a table with the long side in a vertical position. Fold the paper in half vertically, crease it and then unfold it.
Fold the top-left corner in so that it touches the crease. Fold the top-right corner in to touch the crease. There should be a point at the top with two triangles.
Fold the two triangles down and crease the paper. The crease should be at the place where the two triangles ended. The paper should now be a square shape.
Fold the top-left corner down to the middle crease. Fold the top-right corner down to the middle crease and then unfold it. Only unfold the top-right corner.
Place your finger under the flap that is on the right side. Lift the flap, turning the valley crease into a mountain crease. Bring this mountain crease over to meet the edge of the paper on the left side. You now have a point at the top, and one triangle flap sticking out of the paper, folded over the left side.
Fold the triangle flap from the left side to the right side. Unfold the left fold. Place your finger under the flap on the left side. Lift the flap, turning the valley crease into a mountain crease. Bring the mountain crease over to meet the edge of the paper on the right side. Your paper now has a 3D diamond sticking out the middle of the top half of the paper.
Fold each side of the 3D diamond so that the edge touches the center crease and then unfold them.
Fold the tip down so that the fold meets the top of the folds in Step 7.
Hold the tip in your left hand and place your right index finger under the flaps in the middle. Pull up the flap that is on top of your paper, while squeezing the tip with your left hand so that it doesn't pull up. Re-crease all of your creases so that you have a long 3D diamond sticking up from your paper. Flatten down the 3D diamond so that the edges touch in the middle. This will be the nose of the airplane.
Fold the airplane in half lengthwise. Fold the wings down on both sides, including half of the nose part.
Fold the wings up 3/4 inch from the edge of the paper. These are the airplane's rudders.
