How to Preserve Glow Sticks

Glow sticks use a chemical reaction to create light without creating heat. The light fades as the two chemicals neutralize. Eventually the reaction will stop and the glow stick will stop emitting light. Temperature affects the speed that the chemicals react. Preserving a glow stick to extend its life requires slowing the chemical reaction to a point that the two chemicals cease to react.
