Things You'll Need
Instructions
Moisten a few paper towels with water and wring out to remove any excess moisture. Place one of the paper towels on a hard flat surface, such as a kitchen counter.
Place the dried-out Play Doh in the center of the wet paper towel. Dry Play Doh is often crumbly and cracked; be sure to include as much of the Play Doh as you can find, including the crumbs. Wrap the corners of the paper towel around the Play Doh until it is completely covered. Tape the edges of the paper towel to secure it around your Play Doh.
Wrap the remaining paper towels around your bundle, taping edges to secure them, until the Play Doh is wrapped in at least three layers of wet paper towels.
Lay plastic wrap on the counter or hard, flat surface. Place your paper-towel wrapped Play Doh in the center of the plastic wrap. Wrap the bundle completely in the plastic wrap. Place the wrapped Play Doh in an airtight container and seal tightly. Leave the Play Doh in the container overnight.
Remove from the airtight container and unwrap from the plastic wrap and paper towels. Place the Play Doh on a hard flat surface.
Knead the Play Doh by pressing it flat with the palms of your hand until it is no thicker than 1/4 inch. Add one drop of water to the center of your flattened Play Doh. Fold the flattened Play Doh in half and press flat again.
Add more water, one drop at a time, and continue kneading the Play Doh and folding it in half until it has a smooth, pliable consistency. Store your Play Doh in an airtight container to keep it moist and fresh.
