Instructions
Recharge your DX7 batteries using the included battery charger. As the batteries on the inside of your DX7 begin to lose their charge, you may start to notice that the unit isn't controlling your remote device as well as it used to. It may become unresponsive, even if the actual batteries can still power on the DX7. Charge your batteries for at least 16 hours (according to the manual), then try to use your device again.
Verify that the DX7 is set to the same frequency as the device you are trying to control. Check the wireless receiver on the device you're controlling and verify the frequency that it is tuned to. Look at the DX7 and check to see which frequency it is transmitting to. These numbers must be the same for the two devices to communicate. The DX7 has the ability to broadcast to seven different frequencies, so there is a possibility that one device has been configured incorrectly.
Perform a software update. Unfortunately, this isn't something you can do yourself--you need to send your DX7 out to repair with licensed technicians. Check on the Spektrum DX7 website to see if the model number on your unit is one of the model numbers that requires a software update. If it is, fill out a Spektrum DX7 Return Request form and ship your DX7 out to a service center. Its software will be updated and the device will be sent back to you as soon as possible.
