Instructions
Hold onto something, such as a rail or counter, to keep your balance and prevent you from falling and being injured.
Lift the front of your foot and attempt to balance on your heels. Keep in mind that everyone will balance differently based on their center of gravity -- find something that works for you.
Remove your hand from the railing and attempt to balance with nothing supporting you.
Push off from the railing and attempt to stay balanced on your heels while moving. If you feel you are falling, lean to the opposite direction to maintain your balance. Eventually, you will have the balance to be able to push off with one of your feet instead of using a rail as a starting point.
Practice repeatedly. As with most things, practice makes perfect. You will become more comfortable and find your sense of balance.
